Summary

PASS trains the low vision and blind on how to use their access technology software (ATS) in combination with the above applications or programs to gain employment or continue education. PASS also offers individual training on related access technologies for independence in the home or work environments; for instance, smart home technology (controlling lights, thermostats and home appliances by voice), using mobile apps to read mail, identifying home products in the refrigerator, take out menus and common spices and accessible home entertainment plus more! All trainings are designed to ensure the client can use each of the identified application or device on a basic level, additional trainings are available for targeted purposes and upon request. Note, some courses are necessary to advance to another, for instance, a client must know how to use any operating system before learning an email client. The term (devices) refers to mobile phones, tablets, special access technology devices and more. We are flexible and offer in person, virtual or telephone-based trainings, audio recap MP3 files are available for the client’s retention. Specific objectives and course design is always discussed with the client before training begins, additional mentorship and follow up duration periods can be implemented for client observation, help networking and updating.
