(Image credit: Future)· Armed with the iPhone 16 Pro and the latest available update, including Apple Intelligence activated, our newsletter team is pleased to report that Siri has finally become more usable for commonsense tasks, for instance “hey Siri, open Facebook and create a new post,” and yes it works, we will now call Siri, “Siri/GPt). Now, “Visual Intelligence,” refers to the new image processing capable of visually recognizing and speaking back what Siri/GPT is seeing, for instance if you take a picture of a document, logo or sign, animal and even your living room, Siri/GPt will verbally announce what your viewing; in previous iPhones like the (13 Pro), using the Magnifier with “describe images,” turned on, you can receive similar “image recognition information,” which was a feature I used frequently with my former device.

Accordingly, other interesting Siri/G Pt based advancements will be very useful to the blind consumer, such as taking a picture of a image in a foreign language (magazine, book, restaurant menu) and Siri/GPT will translate the foreign language into English, we can also take a picture of a hand written number from a friend or new acquaintance you just met at the mall, and store it as a new contact and call the number, warning, make sure your “game skills,” are tight before attempting to get that number (LOL). The new Siri/GPt is one part of Apple Intelligence, which is full of very useful AI functions aimed at improving productivity, giving instant and relative information and making device tasks easier to accomplish, plus additional enhancements that blind and other disabled iPhone users will begin to incorporate into their lives, the Paschall Power team will continue to monitor additional accessibility related AI items that can move our community digitally forward.· Activate the below link for more about Siri/GPT and the first round of Apple Intelligence, and a great break down of available goodies you can play with💡How to use ChatGPT in iOS 18.2 — here’s everything it can do | Tom’s GuideThe new “Retina Implant” restores sight, giving the legally blind ability to recognize faces and read common text, great news for our community!
· Incredible, this is our third relative writing about the restoration of some form of eye sight, from Neuralink’s (Blind Sight) to the human transplant, restoring sight in a monkey, and now we are excited to report about another implant, this time from one of Neuralink’s competitors “Science Corporation,” who has reported success in their preliminary Retina Implant trial, and those who have received the implant, have witnessed sight restoration, including the ability to recognize faces and read text. The founder of Science Corporation is a former employee of Neuralink, read below for a quote from the founder: “To my knowledge, this is the first time that restoration of the ability to fluently read has ever been definitively shown in blind patients,” CEO Max Hodak.” It’s reported that the loss of central vision has affected millions around the world. Retina implants such as this one is increasing, the more companies compete for the advancement of retina implant technology, the better for us as a blind community.· Activate the below link for more about the new Retina Implant and the preliminary trial information💡Neuralink Competitor Restores Vision in Blind Patients With Eye ImplantHarvard students expand Meta Raybon Glasses to recognize and get identifiable information on people in its HD camera view!
· Personal privacy has been on the chopping block for many years in America and around the world, the term “the big brother is watching you,” is an understatement. Instant facial recognition has been used in the military and other security services for some time now, the company (Clear View AI) and other facial recognition tech organizations currently have improved on the technology dramatically and are selling it to countries and related security agencies. The question is, is this legal and do these Harvard students have something here? In our opinion, yes. Per the first amendment of the American constitution, journalist have “freedom of the press,” and anyone can be press, giving access to the principles of the first amendment; basically, no one has any “expectation of privacy in public,” that’s why cameras are everywhere, from street corners to traffic lights and Federal and State buildings, these places are all deemed the “public arena.”For the modified Meta Ray ban glasses designed by Harvard students called I-XRAY,” if used in the public, we believe some part of this technology will be incorporated into the Meta universe, anyone can retrieve the information anyway if one knows where to look and search. For the blind community, the technology can be useful, especially when out in public and needing to know who you’re speaking with, a background and short bio would not be a bad thing for us, matter fact this technology can help the blind fend off predators and unscrupulous persons seeking to take advantage of our visual situation. Check out the below information regarding the Harvard student’s advancement: This device, named I-XRAY, operates by leveraging publicly available databases and accessible facial recognition tools, such as PimEyes. It quickly identifies individuals and retrieves information like names, addresses, or phone numbers.· Activate the below link for more about the Harvard student’s new facial recognition information advancement used with the Meta Ray bans💡Glasses that identify people in the street and reveal their personal informationSkeptical about upgrading to Windows 11?
