Image: efks – AdobeStock· Safety is everything, but can we enjoy safety, entertainment and use our computers or other digitally connected devices today? It seems that every week a new security threat has penetrated another major corporations’ network. Many blind computer users pick and choose web browsers Based off “word of mouth,” or what they heard from that friend, who knows a friend that says this one or that one is good for us, well let’s shed some light on web browsers by taking a deeper look at all of them.In the world of web browsers, there are basically two competing conglomerates that host all our favorites, such as Edge, Opera and Mozilla, however each one has been developed via open-source programming from either (Chromium or Firefox. When it comes to security and privacy, knowing and understanding your options is everything, check out the below quote, that gives a great “web browser tree,” break down:“On the one hand, there are the browsers based on Chromium, an open source project from Google, Intel, Opera, and Samsung; On the other hand, there are programs based on the Firefox open source browser, The Firefox browsers include Firefox itself, the Tor browser, and Librewolf.· For more information, and to gain a deeper understanding about the security and privacy features within the web browser you use, activate the below link💡Which web browsers excel in security, privacy, and features? | PCWorldNoland Arbaugh, first “Neuralink,” implant patient names his program “Eve,” and is learning Japanese! |
Photograph: Cassidy Araiza· Several months after receiving the Neuralink implant, Noland has named the implant Eve, is learning both Japanese and French, is reading the bible and has future to return to school. In a past newsletter we reported on the promise of the implant for blind people, and there are still plans for Neuralink to be implanted to a blind person, with the hope to give “sight to the sightless.” In fact, a second person has already received the implant and is also making great advancements; although it has been reported that Noland’s implant was having issues, the kinks have been worked out.Paschall Power recognizes the unique possibilities that the Neuralink program can bring to disabled people all around the world, and sincerely hope that our government gets involved, in life, certain inventions have the perplexity to change society on a global scale. Below you can find a quote about the new Neuralink advancements, and how Noland is regaining his life:“Noland Arbaugh wrote in a post on X that he spends about four hours a day in sessions with staff at Neuralink, Monday through Friday, testing the implant. “Dear friends and supporters of AppleVis,We are reaching out to share some exciting news about the future of AppleVis.In late July 2024, we announced the impending closure of the AppleVis website. Today, we are incredibly excited to announce that AppleVis has partnered with the wonderful team at Be My Eyes and will reopen on September 9, 2024.”· For more about AppleVis and “Be My Eyes,” activate the below link💡AppleVis Partners with Be My Eyes; Website to Reopen September 9, 2024, | AppleVisHey there, that humanoid has no face! Check out Neo Beta! The Consumer grade home robot |
· Built as a home assistant, Neo Beta, the humanoid robot Is moving into “pilot phase,” and is gearing up to be released. Neo Beta is a faceless, 5fot 4-inch, 66-pound commercial grade humanoid, this means we may be able to purchase Neo Beta for our own. In fact, Neo Beta can also carry up to 40 pounds, talk, jump, walk and many other humanlike actions that can be especially useful. Although home humanoid robots could have countless uses for blind people and other persons with disabilities, security issues are apparent, such as someone being able to hack into the humanoids mainframe, I can’t believe I’m even writing this right now, but we are here speaking of an humanoid robot; however, Neo Beta does have the option for a actual human to take over by using a remote, a good and bad thing. For blind people, a third-party professional controlling Neo Beta would be a tremendous benefit, even if Neo Beta is preprogrammed with “blind assisting technology,” being able to help with various tasks, would be groundbreaking, imagine Neo Beta assisting the blind to work, on the bus or train and even cooking and cleaning for us, it would be awesome. Check out the below quote from the folks who are behind Neo Beta, they have accessible, home assistance in mind:“the technology marks another exciting step toward AI and robotics capable of supporting daily life, especially for those users with decreased mobility or motor skills.”· Activate the below link for more about the humanoid robot Neo Beta💡Meet Neo Beta: Your new, slightly creepy humanoid robot home assistant | TechSpotNote Pad for Windows 11 has come a long way! |
(Image credit: Mauro Huculak)· Paschall Power has kept our virtual eye on the Note Pad application, which has come default on Windows machines for many years, it also had a twin named “Word Pad,” both were exceptionally low functioning text editors. Today, Note Pad for Windows 11 has spread its digital wings, back in the (2000’s) it would have been a great thing for many of us, however giving additional functions would have intruded on the profit of (Microsoft Word).Spell checking was a major thing for Note Pad, but it has now been solved with a particularly good spell checker, along with some other goodies like “dark mode,” useful for low vision users, the ability to change “fonts and style,” and more. These editions are great for people who do not need the full (Microsoft Word) software, but still requires these functions.· Activate the below link for more functions available in the default Windows 11 Note Pad application💡10 features you probably didn’t know about Notepad for Windows 11 | Windows CentralThe Paschall Power Star of the MonthWe have now come to the end of our eleventh edition of the Paschal Power Newsletter, and you know what that means right, ahh yes, the Paschall Power Star for the month of September, and our new honoree is an gentleman with a baking skill, chocolate cookies to be exact, and yes, we extend our Paschall Power Star of the month to “Famous Amos,” the positive, love spreading cookie king from Los Angeles.
