The 2-wheel motorized (multi-censored) autonomous guidance device for the low-vision and blind!
Walk Boldly. Glide Easy.Only a few weeks back my friend Anthony from Hawaii, and me, were exploring the exhibit hall at the (American Council of the Blind) annual conference, and stumbled into the “Glide,” table and demonstration staff. Well, not only were there great people giving live demos, but the inventor and creator of Glide “Amos Miller,” spoke with us and gave the entire breakdown of this new guidance device for the low-vision and blind. Paschall Power has been viewing the assistive guidance industry for a few years and are aware of AI robotic dogs in development and knew it was only a matter of time before another guidance device would pop out. However, touching Glide and witnessing how it works, I feel that it would be a fantastic method of AI guidance for the community, trust me, Amos is a former Microsoft project research engineer, and the founder of the Microsoft navigation app “Soundscape,” so when he lost his eyesight, it only broadened his creative vision. Below you can find a few highlights of Glide, the guidance device taking the accessibility world by storm:· Intelligently navigate around obstacles and hazards.· Locate doors, elevators, stairs, and more.· Guide you to your destination safely, indoors & outdoors.· Describe your surroundings with an active scene description.· Allow for pre-mapped routes and spontaneous walking.*Note, you may activate the below link for a quick You Tube video, demonstrating Glide💡https://youtu.be/i8HdVA31rWI*Activate the below link for the Glide web site & (30% off) device coupon💡Guidance: Self-Guided Mobility Device for Blind and Low VisionGoogles (Dark Web) monitoring feature now (Free) for everyone, not just Google One subscribers!
In this day of cyber attacks and crafty thieves online lurking for your information, Google has made their “dark web surveillance,” scanning feature available for all subscribers. In most cases “dark web scanning services,” are found attached to many subscriptions, such as opening a new bank account or even when getting a new anti-virus program, one popular service is “LifeLock,” offered by Norton. Yes, it is very annoying to need a “dark web service,” for digital protection, but totally necessary, other steps to protect yourself include “2 factor authentication, Pass Keys and good Password managers,” which is not hard to find; and have you heard of the free Microsoft (365 VPN), which is for subscribers, along with upgraded Teams and more.· For more about the free Google Dark Web Scanning service, activate the below link💡Google’s excellent dark web monitoring service will soon be free | PCWorldCheck out “Meta Ray-bans & The Blindman,” follow the journey of a blindman, using the Meta Ray-Ban Wayfarer Smart Glasses, exclusively on You Tube!
· You heard it right, follow the journey of a blindman, as he uses the Meta Ray-Ban Wayfarer smart glasses to aid in recognizing items of all types, describe the “Meta View,” app for controlling the glasses, take and receive calls and text messages, film videos (live on IG & FB), but most of all, giving helpful tips for using this accessible wearable smart device, we can use without hands, just our voice. Now, can you guess who this mysterious blindman is? Yep, it’s yours truly. Previously in this newsletter we mentioned the exhibit hall at the (2024 American Council of the Blind Conference,” well, Anthony and me (my friend from Hawaii) found ourselves at the “Aira Explorer,” table and had a great conversation.Following the conversation, I decided to purchase my Wayfarer versions and become a “Aira Explorer beta tester,” for the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, and as of this writing, they are great. One tip I will give out right now, turn the glasses off when you’re not using the AI features, if not the battery will drastically drain, remember, the glasses case doubles as a charger, and it only takes (22 minutes) to get fifty percent charge. If you’re into the new AI smart glasses revolution and how they can work for us as blind people, follow my journey, you will have fun, learn something, and possibly gain the vision you never had or lost.· Activate the below link for our You Tube promo and stay in tune for new videos dropping💡Meta Ray-Ban & The Blindman Promo; Jay Paschall From Paschall Access Solutions (youtube.com)Proton grabs attention with its own version of the popular Google Docs!

Well, this ancient 2000-year-old device is considered the first portable computer!
· If one can imagine living two thousand years ago and being on the cutting edge of technology, the “Antikythera Mechanism,” or some version of it would be in your toolbox. When thinking of the development of modern computers, we must first look back at the general idea of what a computer does for humans. In those days, like today, important information was sought in a convenient, easy to access and dependable way, and everything from sea travel to agriculture and early religious beliefs depended on reliable mechanisms that can predict movements of the sun, moon, planets and stars, former American mathematician and scientist Benjiman Banneker created an early clock accurately keeping track of time based off this ancient concept, and later creating the Banneker almanac, accurately gaging seasons.Anyone who has put together a computer knows that there are many parts, placing these parts precisely in solid/constructive places took tools and engineers, we can go further into time, landing on ancient (Kemet or Egypt) where these ancient mechanisms are originally from. The “Sun Dial,” are the great-grandfathers of these Antikythera Mechanisms, as time evolved, nations picked up off the technology; check out the description of the Antikythera Mechanism found in the (1900’s) followed by a link with more information:The Antikythera mechanism was similar in size to a mantel clock, and bits of wood found on the fragments suggest it was housed in a wooden case. Like a clock, the case would’ve had a large circular face with rotating hands. There was a knob or handle on the side, for winding the mechanism forward or backward. And as the knob turned, trains of interlocking gearwheels drove at least seven hands at various speeds. Instead of hours and minutes, the hands displayed celestial time: one hand for the Sun, one for the Moon and one for each of the five planets visible to the naked eye—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. A rotating black and silver ball showed the phase of the Moon. Inscriptions explained which stars rose and set on any date. There were also two dial systems on the back of the case, each with a pin that followed its own spiral groove, like the needle on a record player. One of these dials was a calendar. The other showed the timing of lunar and solar eclipses.· Activate the below link for more about the Antikythera mechanism💡What Is the Antikythera Mechanism, the World’s First Computer? | Smithsonian (smithsonianmag.com)The Paschall Power Star of the MonthWe have now come to the end of our tenth edition of the Paschal Power Newsletter, and you know what that means right, ahh yes, the Paschall Power Star for the month of August, and our new honoree is another sports great and awesome man of his community, Mr. Willie Mays! In (1954) New York’s premier baseball team was the “New York Giants,” and Willie Mays is widely known for his famous world series catch. As a person and community leader, Willie was known to stop and interact with local kids and even get into a street game of stick ball. In short, Willie Mays was the “Michael Jordan,” of baseball and could entertain the crowd, make extraordinary catches, and plays, continue below for more about Willies incredible life, followed by an additional link💡Mr. Willie Mays (1931 – 2024)
HALL OF FAMER WILLIE MAYS, OF THE NEW YORK GIANTS, WITH A MONTAGE OF HIS FAMOUS CATCH IN THE 1954 WORLD SERIES. | GETTY IMAGES· Mays was one of baseball’s greatest on-field performers. At a time when major-league outfielders were taught to field groundballs on one knee, Mays charged them as if he were playing shortstop. He wore caps a size too big for his head so they would fly off when he ran the bases or chased down a fly ball, creating the illusion that he was moving faster. Every kid is taught the proper way to field a fly ball, but Mays was just as likely to catch the ball at his waist, over his shoulder, or barehanded. He made hard plays look easy, but also made easy plays look hard to keep fans in the stands on the edges of their seats, and he learned it all years before he ever stepped on a major-league diamond. “In the Negro Leagues, we were all entertainers,” Mays reminisced. “And my job was to give the fans something to talk about each game.”Willie Mays: The Embodiment of The Negro Leagues – Society for American Baseball Research (sabr.org)👌On behalf of the Paschall Power Newsletter team, we thank you for reading.
