· Beginning later this month, operating systems using iOS version eight and under will no longer be supported under the iCloud backing up service. Which devices would this cover? For iPhones it’s the (iPhone 6 series) and for iPad’s it’s the (iPad version 3/including mini) in both cases, the devices are considered obsolete and vintage. However, all is not lost, users with these devices can always directly backup their data to both windows and Mac operating systems.· As far as the data that has been stored in iCloud’s backup service, all unsupported iCloud backups will be deleted, this means to get your data backed up immediately, if you still use a device running iOS eight or below. · Today, Gmail and web site hacking have exploded all around the world, it seems that every time security patches are issued, another big hack has occurred, so what can we do as consumers is the question. We all have witnessed two factor authentication at some point, most organizations use it, including the Social security Administration, to almost all banking apps, so why isn’t this enough anymore? For short, any additional layer of security can help protect your digital life, including Gmail, which most people may have tens of thousands of emails, if they are lost, the word “email panic,” may come to mind.· To relieve some of the digital panic of your Gmail getting hacked, (which it may have) creating an additional backup Gmail account, for your main email is a free and smart move. Once the new Gmail is created, sign out of the new account and back into your main Gmail account, then go into settings to “forward,” all your emails to your new Gmail account. This does not prevent hacking, but newly added security settings withing the new Gmail account can provide even more layers of security, the entire process can take less than 15 minutes.
