Lead by his guide dog Vixen, former Judge David S. Tatel, personifies blind excellence!

  • Nearly becoming a supreme court judge, and would have been a well-balanced decision maker for America, judge David Tatel dealt with self-discrimination, professional pressure and realities of being a blind man and a respected senior judge. During his possible time of becoming a supreme court appointee, former president George Bush passed over his high intellect and respected name, and appointed two very controversial judges, both negatively impacting recent news cycles, namely, Chief Roberts and Alito.

Prospects of having a blind, guide dog walking judge would have been incredible for not only America, but for blind generations to come, judge Tatel cracked the proverbial “glass ceiling,” leaving another strong blind leader to finish the job by shattering  the entire ceiling, leaving no more barriers for blind professionals in all fields and communities. To all you blind fighters and barrier breakers, grab your hammer and keep swinging!
