Microsoft is shady! New users are forced to upgrade 365 subscriptions to Pro-Copilot platform!

  • If you’re a Microsoft 365 user, brace yourselves—2025 is bringing a new twist to your subscription, and it’s not exactly a friendly one. This year, Microsoft is forcing all new Microsoft 365 family subscribers into the Pro-Copilot version. That’s right, for an extra $3 a month, Microsoft is automatically upgrading you to the Pro-Copilot platform—no questions asked. But don’t think this is just a “new user” thing. If you’ve been a loyal 365 user for years, you’ll be swept into this upgrade when your subscription renews. No warning. No choice.

If you don’t want Copilot, you can downgrade to the “classic version” of Microsoft 365, but be prepared for some hoops to jump through. The whole process is a bit of a hassle, but if you’re not keen on having an AI dictate your workflow, it’s the only way out.

So, what now?

You’ve got options, whether it’s embracing the future (and extra costs) or holding onto the classic version that served you well. Either way, stay tuned for more info in our upcoming Paschall Power Newsletter. We’ll be keeping an eye on Microsoft’s latest moves and giving you the details on your 365 options.
